Ocean

I took a step in, with my eyes closed 

Felt the cold water touching my feet 

I let the breeze embrace my skin 

The warmth of the sun glazed through 

The scent of salt filled my nose 

As the waves brushed against the shore 

I opened my eyes and stole a minute 

For myself to enjoy the beauty before me 

The orange, the red and the blue 

Embracing each other, creating a new hue 

Taking a deep breath 

I’ve let the salty breeze in once more 

As I left myself into the arms of the ocean 

The sky turned dark 

And the moon and the stars waved goodbye.

Story of My Life

  Born in on a hot day of September, she obviously had no idea that her life was going to be this way. Being born in the early 90s, she had an amazing childhood in the early 2000s. She would play all day outside with her friends and come back to warm food waiting for her. 

 She was ambitious for everything but her studies in school. She wasn’t lazy, just not studying enough, as they say. Her love for foreign languages started when she was watching Disney shows on TV. 

 Everything was good until she graduated high school and it followed by not being able to go to university next year. The failure took a toll on her and she started to struggle mentally. It took her at least 10 years and multiple attempts to start her university education to finally get better. She was in her early 30s now, just starting to finally live her life as she deserve it, with her many cats and lovely family… 

  Who is she, you may ask. It’s me, Dilara. And this is the story of my life.
